Producer/DJ born and raised in East Orange, NJ and now residing in Houston, TX. Tayo Wink has been an avid fan of house music since the 80's. Growing up with the New Jersey and Chicago house music sounds, Tayo has been inspired by such greats as Tony Humphries, Naeem Johnson, Larry Levan, Marshall Jefferson, David Morales, Full Intention, Freemasons, Kaskade, and the everlasting sounds of Masters At Work. Since moving to Houston, Tayo has developed his own unique sound consisting of latin rythms, heavy kicks, crisp hi-hats, and futuristic, ambient synths. Having been mentored by good friend DJ/Producer Vinnie Fraginals, and cousin, DJ/Producer Shaheer Williams of Soul Groove Records, Tayo released his first EP on Soul Groove Records titled "Soul Is The Night". Since then, he has released two collaborative efforts with Maminstrumental from Italy titled "Winter In Soweto" & "Afroman", along with his solo EP titled "The Debut Of Johnny Handsome." All which can be found on Cyberjamz Records. Tayo Wink knows no boundaries. The Galaxy is his limit! House music is forever in his blood!
